Can I use my Colonies address as my permanent address?
In FRANCE: Of course, this is your home after all! Only exception is student housing (Fontainebleau). In GERMANY: Yes, of course! We will provide you with all the documents you need to register (do your Anmeldung) upon your move-in.

Who says communal life, also says rules in everyone's best interest :). These rules will be specified in your lease agreement. Not to worry, they essentially touch upon quiet hours and waste management... Nothing too wild, you'll see !

Is there onsite residence management?
As promised, a Residence Manager will come to your house occasionally to welcome new housemates and to support you with solving the small everyday issues everyone may face. The Residence Manager does not live in your house and will therefore not be present 24/7, but they will be reachable by email/phone and try their best to help you. Within Colonies the Residence Manager takes care of multiple houses and coordinates several external service providers. They will do their best to get back to yo

Who is in charge of keeping the house in good shape?
In short: YOU :) It's **your **house, therefore you and your housemates share the responsibility of taking care of household chores and of cleaning up after yourselves. To make it easier for you, a cleaning service will clean the shared spaces on a weekly basis.

What is included in the cleaning service?
The cleaning service will take care of cleaning flooring and surfaces in the shared spaces once a week. The cleaning agents are not responsible for cleaning your dishes; please clean them yourselves, and don't wait too long if you want to keep your housemates happy :).

Are parties allowed?
Parties form an integral part of community life. They're therefore allowed and even welcome, provided they are held with all due respect to your housemates, your neighbours and quiet hours.

Can I work from home?
Absolutely! Some of our houses even feature a coworking space. Most houses have a regular home internet cable connection (up to 1000 mb/s downloading speed), which should work decently for home office purpose, but won't compare to an office building connection.

Can I invite friends and family into the house ? Can they sleep over?
You sure can! Just let your housemates know beforehand. If your guests are staying overnight and make sure your guests sleep in your private space and not in the shared spaces. Your guests can stay for up to 5 nights in a row per month.
